PHOTOTHERAPORT team get together online for another project meeting

On 5 February, PHOTOTHERAPORT members met online for the project’s two-year meeting to analyse the achievements made in recent months and plan the next steps.

The PHOTOTHERAPORT project team met online last week for the project’s 24-month meeting. The meeting was marked by very fruitful discussions about the next steps in our photopharmacology strategy, which involves the use of light-emitting implants and photo-controlled drugs to treat neuropathic pain and epilepsy.

The meeting began with an update on project management, communication, and data management, presented by the respective area managers from IBEC, the project coordinator. Afterwards, all partners presented their latest achievements and advances in their specific scientific areas. All presentations were followed by discussions among all partners to define future experiments. The final presentation was devoted to the exploitation and protection of results and outcomes.

After the presentations, project members held an internal discussion, after which the consortium met with the Scientific Advisory Board to present project results and receive valuable feedback.

This was another fruitful meeting to outline the final year of the project and define the next scientific aspects to be approached.
